Synopsis
Welcome to Chenoise Remand Center: a place meant to guarantee order and discipline… Except here, the people running the prison are also the first to bend the rules. Between a director who mothers the inmates, a deputy obsessed with authority, a guard in total freestyle mode, and a new recruit determined to prove herself, the ‘management’ of daily life relies on improvisation, shaky decisions and misguided ideas. A permanent chaos…that somehow works. But for how long?
Creator bios
Series director and creator John Wax is a director, screenwriter, and photographer. He worked as an artistic advisor on the films Coexister and Pattaya before co-directing Tout simplement noir alongside Jean-Pascal Zadi. He then directed En tongs au pied de l’Himalaya. Surveillant !, which he co-created and directed for Disney+, is his first series.
