Synopsis
Louise dreams of becoming a filmmaker, and takes off for Paris to study with a legendary American screenwriter. She soon nabs an apartment share with Charlie, a free-spirited bookworm, and her BFF, aspiring sushi chef Nelson. Together, they navigate the ups and downs of life and love in the big city. Isabel Coixet‘s wistful valentine to both the cinema and the City of Light quietly weaves a surprisingly complex bond between the three roommates, offers a wry look at the Hollywood “dream factory,” and bravely steps into the heart-rending emotional minefield that coming-of-age can sometimes also entail.
