Synopsis

Laura Stern is a small-town pharmacist, but her true calling is running a support group for victims of domestic violence. When one of her group members is murdered point-blank, before her very eyes, that flips a switch in Laura’s psyche… and she pledges to protect the women around her at all costs. Laura’s Treatments is a fictional head-on confrontation with the merciless victimization of women in our society and the indisputable statistics: in France, 300 women are killed by their own partners annually, and another 230,000 are sexually assaulted. Most of their perpetrators go unpunished.
