Synopsis
Laura, a young working-class woman from the outer city, lands a job as personal assistant to Souria, the mistress of a Saudi prince, who is literally held captive in his sumptuous Paris mansion. Catering to Souria’s every whim, Laura quickly begins to feel that gilded cage closing in around them. Hélène Rosselet-Ruiz‘s intriguing debut feature mines her own personal experience working for ultra-wealthy Saudis in Paris to explore that rarified, male-dominated world; the toll placed on women who wish to enter it; and an unexpected sisterhood that develops along the way.
