Synopsis

Nuclear aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle (a.k.a. R91) sets off on a highly volatile strategic mission in the Mediterranean, as Captain Hélène Duval is ceremoniously named the first woman second-in-command of an aircraft carrier in France. Hours later, a crew member is found dead, an investigator called in, and a manhunt for the killer is launched. The French Navy’s prize 1,800-person floating fortress quickly becomes a deadly trap, in which mounting tensions spiral into a global security crisis. The fictional mini-series was produced in collaboration with the French Navy and showcases the unique expertise of their air and maritime operations.
