Synopsis
1982. Marion Cotillard stars as actress Eddie Mars, who’s just wrapping her umpteenth schlocky American horror film, when she’s diagnosed with a brain tumor and flies off to the Eternal City to shoot a Felliniesque science-fiction extravaganza set in 2026 — a film that may very well be her last. Director Bertrand Mandico, co-author of the infamous “Incoherence Manifesto,” takes his theory to the limit in this hallucinogenic psychodrama about an aging scream queen who’s been “betrayed by youth,” her trippy descent into the netherworld, and her desperate attempts to come to grips with her own mortality.
