Argentina, 1930. Free-spirited Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is a pilot for the French airmail service Aéropostale, flying alongside legendary aviator Henri Guillaumet. The future of their company threatened by more efficient means of transportation, Saint-Exupéry and his partner take it upon themselves to seek out dangerous shortcuts over the mountains. But when Guillaumet vanishes in the Andes, Saint-Exupéry embarks on a perilous journey to rescue him. Along the way, he discovers that his inventive imagination may just be his greatest asset. Thirteen years after that extraordinary adventure, Saint-Exupéry published one of the world’s most universally-beloved children’s books, The Little Prince.

Born and raised in Patagonia, Paris-based Argentine filmmaker Pablo Agüero made is first short, Lejos del Sol (2005), at the age of 15 and won Best Short Film Awards at both the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Film and the Cork International Film Festival. His second short, Primera Nieve (2006) won the Best Short Film Jury Prize in Cannes. His feature films, which have continued to rack up festival prizes around the world, include Salamandra (2008), which premiered in the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight; 77 Doronship (2009); Madres de los dioses (2015); Eva Doesn’t Sleep (2015), which premiered in competition in San Sebastian; A Son of Man (2018), which he co-directed with Jamaicanoproblem; and Coven (2020). Saint-Exupéry will premiere at TAFFF prior to its French release.
