August 15, 2021. American troops are pulling out of Afghanistan. Taliban insurgents are in the process of seizing Kabul. The French Embassy is preparing to evacuate… when commander Mohamed Bida takes in 500 refugees seeking asylum. Determined to save every life, he hatches a plan to transport the group to the airport. What ensues is a grueling 13-day race against time, amidst the utter pandemonium all around them, before the Taliban closes in. Martin Bourboulon (Eiffel, The Three Musketeers) is back with another action-packed, big-budget crowd-pleaser, adapted from Mohamed Bida’s memoir recounting how ten police officers, left to their own devices and risking their own lives, courageously led those stranded masses to freedom.
