The year is 1983. Daniel is in California. He has a revelation and returns to Paris with a message… and several tabs of LSD. “I’m giving up bass. It’s all about decks now. I’ve seen the future.” Inspired by the burgeoning American DJ culture, Daniel metamorphoses into Dee Nasty and puts out the album Paname City Rappin’.  Meanwhile, over in Saint Denis, Bruno and Didier throw themselves into the new hip-hop scene. A year later, graffiti artist Vivi makes a splash. All the pieces are now in place for a decade of profound cultural change to unfold, culminating in the birth of the legendary rap group NTM before the season’s 1991 conclusion. Engaging characters, political undercurrents and a kick-ass soundtrack made this exploration of the Paris underground music scene a huge hit at this year’s Series Mania Festival, where Reign Supreme walked away victorious, with the International Grand Prize in tow.
