Director Yann Gozlan‘s hypnotic Hitchcockian thriller, Visions, sweeps us up in the romantic and sexual obsessions of Estelle, a highly competent airline pilot who, by chance, crosses paths with Ana, a photographer and former lover who broke her heart many years earlier. Their magnetic mutual attraction has clearly never died, and Estelle is now torn between her seductive old flame and her suspicious doctor husband, Guillaume. Tormented by prophetic dreams and vertiginous visions, Estelle gradually loses her grip on reality, and her entire life and career are soon turned upside down.

After studying economics, writer-director Yann Gozlan embraced his passion for the cinema to become a talented genre filmmaker.  Beginning with experimental films in video and Super8 and a couple of shorts, Gozlan went on to co-write and direct the horror film, Captifs (2010), which nabbed Best Film and Best Actress Awards at Screamfest in L.A.  That was followed by the psychological thriller A Perfect Man (opening film, COLCOA 2015); Burn Out (COLCOA 2018); and Black Box (COLCOA 2021), which won Audience Awards at both the Festival du Film Policier in Reims and the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival. Gozlan also served as co-screenwriter on Thomas Kruithof’s espionage thriller, The Eavesdropper (COLCOA 2017) and Daniel Calparsoro’s Centaur (2022). Visions premiered at the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival in August of this year and will have its North American Premiere at TAFFF 2023.
